This is an early mock up in Masonite.
We started with cardboard.
This is what we started with Road
signs a good source of T-6 aluminum and only $ .80 a pound (Cheap)
After we made the pattern it was
traced onto the sign material and then the fun with the jig saw began.
There's nothing like going home to a house full of metal shavings stuck
in the carpet , couch ,Dog , etc...
Some more of the metal fitting
during early construction.
It's starting to take the final
shape now. The body was bolted together with angle iron to hold its shape
while fitting the pieces together.
Whew just about finished with the
assembly. I wonder what it will weigh?
I don't Know it still looks heavy
to me.
Well we started with 40 lbs of
aluminum and this is what's left.
Well it weighs 36 lbs with the
steel angle iron holding it together.
Personally I think its too fragile.
Well at least the chassis still
fits inside.
Oh no it's
overweight
