The Power Tool Drag Races. May 7th 2006
Ace Auto Dismantlers aka (ACE International Speedway)
2255 Mc Kinnion San Francisco, California.

Funny Car racers
This class of racers are actually ridden by their creators. There are  American chopper machines (well sorta) National Hot Rod Association NHRA type Dragsters (not really). But they are a heck of a lot of fun and are kinda like the creations seen on Monster Garage. Ah Jessie James would be proud (doubt it).

Drag Queen 2.0 Team Washburn (Foster City, CA, )
This racer is powered by a Skill Saw. It is launched just like a smaller power tool racer . Of course their daughter is driving this one down the speedway. The machine was stopped by the tarps and tires used to stop the smaller machines.

A Pink Tiger in the tank provides some Grr.. power and a doll helps push this racer to power tool glory.

Holy Moly. Holy moly racing. (San Francisco, Ca)

This racer is truly a fine piece of industrial art.

A lot of symmetry and class was added to the machine by drilling hundreds of holes in the structure.

This added a lot for the eye to see.

It's sorta hard to see, but I believe that this racer is driven by a Skill Saw with a custom belt drive.

It might not be the fastest racer, but It shurely wins first place with Style.

Lil Red. Team Lil (Oakland, CA

Pheonix Chainsaw Chopper  Team Pheonix (San Francisco, Ca.)
Showing considerable style. The Phoenix flys down the speedway.

Stilborn Team Saw Werks (Larkspur, Ca.)
Every kid has imagined mounting an engine on their bicycle. Well these kids did it, they mounted a Large Stil Chain Saw Engine to a small bicycle. If that wasn't enough power to bust one's butt. These guys added nitrous oxide and gasoline injection system. Just for that extra kick in the pants and stuff.

Stilborn is launched (inertia style) that is the rider lifts the rear tire off of the ground (by pulling on the handle bars and pivoting on the rear wheelie bars) and spins up the engine to probably 10,000 RPM's. When the Flag Girl signals the start the rider drops the rear wheel to the ground and trys to hang on to this wild machine.

Just in case the machine and rider hasn't crased during launch, the rider can trigger the nitrous oxide and gasoline injection system.

You guys are my kind of Nuts...

Stilborn is probably the fastest machine in the Funny Car class. But keeping it under control during launch has proven to be very difficult.

Chris your a Wild Man.....
