Action continued through the day with Saws, Sanders and Grinders

Dirty Sanchez demonstrated several fine runs down the track.

Team K.I.S.S and Team S.L.A.M (Ya US Guys again) showed up with three racers now sporting Saw blades for wheels. The yellow racer also has a stretched high tech Van body.

Last minute adjustments and constant repair and modifications keep the racers on the ragged edge of the performance envelope. (Well sorta and stuff)

One last power connection on the Washburns machine and it's ready to rock.

Another Racer prepares for a high speed run.

Excited fans begin to fill the viewing area after a few test runs.

Soon the viewing area is overflowing with children and their parents.

Folks were straining the restraints to get a view of the unbelievable speeds and devastating crashes provided by the racers and their machines.

A small problem both motors turn the same direction. When mounted on the machine like this their turning against each other and the racer won't move. Lowell Nelson explains to the builder that you have to rewire the brushes in one of the motors so they both will spin the same way. Actually the opposite way. Well whatever......

This event was a lot of low pressure fun for all in attendance. Several of the competitors allowed the children from the audience to push the launch button and run a racer down the track. That was really great and I personally hope it gets them thinking about building wacky machines to have fun with and maybe learn a thing or two about science and technology.
